Product Description

Softening Plant

In the softening cycle, water enters the softener and passes through the ion exchange resin charges with sodium (Na+) ions.As hard water passes through the resin charged with sodium (Na+) ions.As hard water passes through the resin, hardness ions (Ca+ & Mg+) are physically exchanged with the sodium ions on the ion exchange resin.Water Softener removes calcium, magnesium and certain other metal cations in hard water.

Advantages of Commercial & Industrial Water Softener-

1) Lower chemical consumption and costs

2) Increased equipment/appliance life

3) Improved consistency in water quality

4) Reduced repair and maintenance cost

Advanced Water Softening Technology

Utilizing strong acid cation exchange resin, the plant delivers reliable water softening results by reducing hardness effectively during each 8-12 hour service cycle. Its regeneration process, via counterflow or co-flow with brine solution, ensures consistent performance and reduced salt consumption.

Customizable and Durable Design

Manufactured in blue, white, or customizable colors and with options in MSEP, SS, or FRP, this plant suits diverse operational environments. Skid- or floor-mounted variants offer installation flexibility, and corrosion-resistant construction withstands rigorous industrial use.

Designed for Efficiency and Compliance

Providing a recycle rate of up to 95% and water conductivity levels as low as <20 S/cm, the plant ensures resource efficiency and adherence to quality norms. It is suitable for a wide range of water sources, from municipal to borewell supply, supporting continuous soft water output.

FAQ's of MSEP/SS/FRP Water Softening Plant:

Q: How does the MSEP/SS/FRP Water Softening Plant operate?

A: This plant utilizes ion exchange technology with strong acid cation resin to remove hardness-causing ions from water. Regeneration is accomplished using a brine solution in either counterflow or co-flow mode, ensuring consistent water softness over service cycles of 8 to 12 hours.

Q: What is the minimum inlet pressure required for proper operation?

A: A minimum inlet pressure of 2.5 kg/cm2 is necessary for optimal performance. This ensures efficient passage of water through the resin bed and uniform softening.

Q: When should the resin be replaced in the water softening plant?

A: The resin typically has a lifespan of 3 to 5 years, depending on water quality and usage frequency. Resin should be checked periodically and replaced when softening capacity noticeably decreases.

Q: Where can this water softening plant be installed?

A: These plants are floor-mounted or skid-mounted and are suited for industrial, commercial, and institutional locations. Installation should be in an accessible area with provision for water source connections and electrical supply.

Q: What are the benefits of using this plant for water treatment?

A: Benefits include achieving softened water with hardness below 5 ppm, high efficiency with up to 98% removal of hardness, corrosion-resistant materials, and easy maintenance. It also meets national water quality standards, making it safe for various applications.

Q: How much salt is required for each regeneration cycle?

A: Salt consumption per regeneration cycle ranges from 100 to 200 grams per liter of resin. Proper brine preparation in the brine tank ensures effective resin regeneration for continued softening efficiency.

Q: Can the plant accommodate varying flow rates and capacities?

A: Yes, models are available for flow rates ranging from 1 to 60 m3/hr and capacities from 1,000 to 100,000 liters per hour. The inlet and outlet connection sizes (1" to 6") and brine tank capacity (100-1,000 liters) are selected based on the site's requirements.
